Council Representation (Resident and Family Councils)

  1. The Resident Advisory Council

The Eatonville Care Centre resident council represents all residents without prejudice. It meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 3:00 p.m., where locals may express their concerns, socialise, and keep track of any changes that may affect them badly or positively. Residents’ councils can be found on the website of the Ontario Association of Residents’ Councils.

  1. The Council of Families

The family council is a self-led and well-organized gathering where relatives and friends address issues concerning the placement of their loved ones in a care facility. It offers interactive assistance, educational activities, advocacy, and a venue for offering feedback to the care centre in collaboration with the social services coordinator. This council meets on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. The Ontario Family Councils Program website has further information about family councils.
